Minimal Photography by Helena Georgiou

Welcome, and thank you for having a look at my photographic art

I was born and raised in sunny Nicosia, Cyprus. I studied Business Administration and Interior Architecture, and during my studies attended a series of seminars on Fine Arts and Photography. From that moment on, photography became part of my life.

In 2009, I became a member of the Cyprus Photographic Society, and have participated in many exhibitions both on the island and abroad (Athens, Belgium, Berlin, Cologne, Austria), receiving numerous awards for my work.

My portfolio includes: street photography, portraits of ordinary peoples, digital art (manipulation), architecture, minimal, still life, and any fascinating, fleeting moments I chance upon.

Stemming from my deep passion for creativity and detail, my photographs express my feelings and also attempt to elucidate my experiences, trips, and thoughts.

I believe the most important quality of a photograph, as in all of art, is to evoke an emotional response…
